I rarely get up in time for breakfast.
If it is just me, I'd rather sleep for half an hour more than fill my stomach
with food to get me through the day. But since I'm living under someone else's
roof now and I don't have the option to sleep more than I want to, I do the
courtesy of joining my hosts in this early morning affair.
So far, as much as I thought it would
be sort of a burden, I actually look forward to it. The food's been delicious -
the BEST homemade fruit jams, fresh fruits (some of which I haven't even heard
of), authentic hungarian sausages, szalami, turo, "kenyér" (I usually
go for soft, milky white bread, but this, which is by far the hardest one to
chew, grew on me), milk, hot tea, cheese, yogurt...and the list goes on..
My taste buds have never been spoiled this much at this particular time of the day (not that I don't get fed like this at home; I just really rarely have breakfast. ahaha!).

Moreover, my hosts have forever been
delightful to eat with. Maybe because of our funny conversations (or lack
thereof -- They don't speak english. I don't speak hungarian. Just imagine how
we communicate. Hilarious.). Undoubtedly I've been having the best of this morning ritual recently.
They say living in a foreign land changes you. For only a short period of time (barely a week), I can already attest to it! Simple (and weirdly personal ahaha!) as the change may be, I've grown to love a heartwarming meal in the morning. I actually crave for it now! ahahah!

**Yes, this is what I ate for breakfast today: fresh strawberries!! :)**
