Hand-picked
a sackful of fresh apples today. :)
My
hosts only told me this morning that we were going to pick apples for the kids
today, so I got too excited to pack my camera (my first time to see an apple
tree!! A perfect moment to capture!!!),
and with my haste, I
completely FORGOT THE BATTERY. (I was charging it last night. UGH.)
STUPID.
I
only realized it when we got there. I clicked my camera to take an overview
photo of the huge apple plantation, and to my GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT,
nothing happened. No battery!!!!!!!!!! </3 </3 </3 No wonder it was
too light. -_-
If
I could describe it in words, I would, but as writing is not my expertise, I
feel I’d just ruin the memory.
I’ll
just relish what happened today and keep a mental picture of it.
Lesson
learned today:
1.
How to choose the right apples to pick.
2.
Apples can last for months in a storage room. (We picked sacks of apples enough
to feed 40 little kids for 2 months.)
3.
(If ever I’m bringing it) Double-check my camera before leaving the house!!!!
Otherwise, it will be just a useless, excess - waste of space - baggage.
-_-
But
overall, it was a great experience. :D It's my first weekend here in Hungary,
and if all my weekends would be just as good as this one, then I'm surely
looking forward to the next ones!!! (Not that I want to make my stay here happen too
fast. In fact, it is entirely the opposite.)
Next
on my list: Vineyards!
Can't wait to tick that off my bucket list!!
