Some places really look different at night..
No -- actually, most places look different at night.
Structures seem to mask themselves with a new identity.
Sometimes I can't even recognize them.
They possess a different charm,..
..a different glow.
Against the darkest blue-black skies, their distinct and intricate features are greatly accentuated.
They shine more,...
..stand out more..
..and somehow seem more majestic.
Budapest in broad daylight is wonderful...
...but at night, it is far more enchanting.
Every time I end up at the city center at night, I always feel like I am in an entirely new place..
and yet, I am not.
I probably just see things in a different light - literally and figuratively -
..and as they glow in darkness, find them just as - or even more - beautiful.
