My godparents surprised me with a
cruise to Denmark!
A first for me!

As soon as I felt the ship move, I wanted to have a look outside and be on the deck for a real cruise experience. However it was drizzling, so we had to stay inside first and wait patiently for it to die down.
I didn't mind.
It was pretty entertaining inside - there were performers dressed up as pirates, telling their sea voyages to the little kids; a small casino with junior slot machines; a game room with pool, wii, a huge chessboard and some other games; a duty-free shop; and of course, a food court! :)

To watch the sun set, to breathe in the sea breeze.. to feel detached from the world and seeing it from a distance.. to feel like you're caught in between something (or nothing)... to look at an endless view, a certain uncertainty..
Refreshing.. Humbling.. Empowering.. Hopeful.. Nostalgic..
...or maybe that's just me. And what my thoughts inadvertently were, as I was there on the deck gazing at the formerly-despised plain horizon.

Thank you for taking me to a cruise!
I had a lovely time with you, ladies of the Aquino house! :)

Of course, as it's a first, I had to have a photo of me on the deck! It felt quite unusual to being out in the open sea and having this much clothing. haha!
Something new everyday! :)

I'm not really a fan of cruises. It's just like being in a hotel - a mobile one, though. There's nothing much to see. I'd rather take air or land transportation and see things up close or from high above, than a plain, vast horizon.
After this, though, I understood why people take it. It's sometimes good to take a break and just free your eyes from a cluttered vision.
